Damage caused by NOT using CNG?

If I do not use the CNG and run my 1999 Ford Contour bi-fuel on gasoline only, will that damage the CNG system/parts? To the point of uselessness? Advice appreciated. (NOTE: Bought car with 30k miles, don't know if CNG used before. I have had it 15 months and have not used CNG for these last 40k miles.)

This will not damage anything, but I've heard that the compuvalve will fail whether used or not.
