Re: Tank dimensions
I just purchased a 4 foot sphere ($26,000) for my station. It holds about 80 gge. Are you looking to do a commercial station? If so, 100 gge may be a bit on the small size. If you're thinking of personal use, it's a bit big. Just remember, you have about 20% of your storage that will fill to pressure. In other words, 100 gge will give you 20gge at 3600 psi and then begin to drop.

Re: Tank dimensions
Jasper/Curtis,
Here's a formula that MAY help:
Tank volume (in gallons) = [3.14 x (diam./2)sqd. x height]/ 231 cu. in. per gal.
Range = Tank Vol. (gal.) x MPG x (constant a, b, or c)
a @ 2400 psi = 0.176
b @ 3000 psi = 0.220
c @ 3600 psi = 0.264
This is intended for vehicle more than fill stations. We've also got a chart that estimates range for various size cylinders and mpg's if anyone wants.

afvman/Bill
