        Hope your OK.

You'll just have to stand your ground and let them know that if they don't fully cover the replacement you'll be happy to see them in court. Your most likely in a better position with their insurance company just because they really don't want to see you in court.

Wow, was this on Sunday? This is just a couple of blocks from my place. Did you run into the side of Chuck O Rama?

We've been contacted in the past about the values of vehicles we've sold. You should probably be okay if you can show them all the ads for similar trucks and what they cost now.

Good luck dealing with the insurance company and let us know how it turns out.

If you don't get what you deserve or even if you do, buy the tank back.

I hope and it sounds like you are okay. I see the airbags deployed!!!
                  What was that like?!
                  Good Luck

P.S.If the truck goes to the salvage, there are probably a few of us interested in parts off it. I need wheels and a tail gate.
Good luck with it, though. I'd probably go to KSL.com's classified and print up all the CNG trucks like that to help establish the value. Also Craigslist for SLC.

Let us know how it turns out in case others of us have to deal with the situation you are in.

I would definitely have the tank inspected prior to reinstalling it onto another vehicle. Please let the inspector know that it was involved in an accident. I'd even show him the pictures you've posted here. We can't afford to have another tank explosion due to a vehicle accident.

                            Re: moment of silence please

There was a Super Shuttle van's tank rupture while fueling in Carson after being in an accident. The tank was not inspected after the accident, and the driver died.

There was a Honda in Seattle that burst, but I don't know the details on that one.

Most recently (VERY recently) there was a van in Corona that's tank burst while fueling. Details are still forthcoming on this one.

                              Provo,

Been there also with past customers, does not matter what you paid for the vehicle, you are entitled to get (ACV) actual cash value. Fast and easy way to do so is go to ebay. Click on watch ads for all Fseries CNG trucks. Once the sale ends print the screen. Do as many as you want and take in highest priced sales at or about YOUR trucks current mileage. You might even get higher value from any used CNG truck dealer if they will allow you a copy of their records of sales.

If they won't give you a copy, get a copy of their current CNG f series truck sale inventory prices.

ALSO try to keep the truck on your property until you have agreed to a settlement. Do NOT let them take the truck until then!! If its impounded pull it out of the impound and keep it at home or a friends house. The insurance will repay you for impound fees if you agree to let them take it.

I have had customers who kept the vehicle, insurance would not agree on settlement. The insurance sent the customer a check for x amount. The customer took insurance to small claims, got to keep and cash the check, won in small claims court an additional amount and also had the truck at home and got to keep it.

                              Good Luck!
