Re: OEM Warranty
SOP is, that when you secure conversion from a reputable company, the OEM manufacturer, be it BAF, Baytech, whomever, warranties the engine against any damage caused by their product. As I understand it, its easy to determine what caused the damage.
If the nat. gas conversion causes the damage, the conversion manufacturer is responsible. If not, then the OEM engine manufacturer is responsible. So, really, there's no problem, provided you have a warranted conversion.

Re: OEM Warranty
We are doing the FuelTek conversion. FuelTek is covering parts for 3 years or 36,000 miles and we are matching it on the labor side. We had to have a warranty to deal with the Ford Dealer here in Salt Lake.Attached FilesLancer Automotive Group

Re: OEM Warranty
After 3/36 and before 8/80 (federal emissions performance warranty), is Ford Motor (corporate) blessing the conversion ? .
IIRC , most of the situations today , Ford or GM supplies the vehicle, as a chassis , but the conversion upfitter becomes the manufacturer of record, and takes on most warranty and safety liability .

Re: OEM Warranty
Many question whether an OEM will stand behind their limited warranty, if alterations/modifications are performed on a vehicle. The following statement is Ford's official policy:
The U.S. Ford policy is that all alterations/modifications of Ford vehicles must be done in compliance with all applicable state and Federal (EPA) statues and regulations. The installation/use of any non-Ford product will not necessarily void the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty. If, however, the non-Ford product fails or causes a Ford part to fail, the cost of the repair and any related damage are not covered by the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The vehicle owner would need to look to the manufacturer or installer of the non-Ford product for repairs, not to Ford.Lancer Automotive Group
