  • '12 Honda Civic, zero fuel shut down

Hello, I'm a newbie to the forum. My brother has a '12 Honda Civic CNG that is giving him trouble and he asked me to help him. He took the car into the dealer and there wanting to charge him $5,100 to fix it, but he's not confident that they really know what's wrong with it. Unfortunately, I'm new to the CNG world, but want to help him if I can. Right now I don't know much about the dealerships diagnosis, expect the amount they want to charge. My brother said that the car has left them stranded half a dozen times. The symptoms are: if the car has "less than half" a tank of fuel and parked overnight or even sat all day at work, it will start long enough for the low fuel light to come on, then the fuel gauge goes to zero, then the car shuts off. After that, the car will not start.

Does this sound familiar? Any suggestions as to the problem(s)? Can I as a backyard grease-monkey fix it for him? If so, where do I start?

    Thank you.
