  • What is a fair price for this car?

I went and looked at a 98 Civic GX today and it drove fine, mileage is about 60k and he is asking 9000 for it. Is that a fair price? It seems that he has treated it ok, but it is not in perfect shape.

    Thanks for any advice,

That seems to be in the ball park for the market these days, give or take a grand. Sad part is that a year ago it would have been a $3500 car at best. CNG cars are at a premium these days due to simple supply and demand. Used one's even more than the new ones.

$.63 a gge gas seems to be the culprit.

I got my 99 GX for 7600 after it was all said and done. I bought it a year ago though. FYI

Best of luck. I never thought I would buy new, but like Curtis indicated new prices are less inflated than used right now Use the book on a gas engine model then add the price difference for cng and see that it is a sellers market to be sure.

Yes. Buy a $4500 gasoline powered one. The other $4500 will supply you with fuel until you're old and gray.

Seriously, used GX prices are laughable right now. There is no practical reason to buy one for the going rate.
