I was wondering if the law requires the CNG stickers on bumpers of cars to remain on the vehicle?

Re: CNG Sticker Requirements?
Page 7 of the '07 GX owner's manual sez, "Your vehicle has an identifying "CNG" label attached next to the rear license plate. Do not remove this label. This label is necessary for insuring your vehicle. Driving without this label may violate the laws or regulations in some states."
My insurance company has never seen my GX.

Re: CNG Sticker Requirements?
It's a fire regulation in most, if not all, states. In the event of an accident, the fire units responding must know what fuel on board is.
Besides, cutting into a 3600psi fuel line with the jaws of life might scare the hell out of some poor unsuspecting fireman.

Re: CNG Sticker Requirements?
California Vehicle Code says this: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc27909.htm
Which isn't exactly adhered to since tanks are all over my Dodge Ram van.Selling all of the things:
2007 Civic GX $9750
2001 Dodge B3500 $????

Re: CNG Sticker Requirements?
You can even get multiple styles on EBAY - for those with fashion desires ;-)
Actually I love it when someone has already answered the question that just popped into my mind. I replaced the sticker on our truck and the next day, had some guy leave a resturaunt - notice the sticker, come back in and ask whose vehicle it was so he could proceed to quiz me on "How great is CNG REALLY?!?".
I didn't mind sharing how special spending 2/3's less on fuel and having a cleaner engine is - but it made me wonder if I HAD to advertise that fact. I started to scan NFPA but a quick search hear and voila! So, I will continue to advertise and thanx.
