CNG Supporters really need to visit http://wot.motortrend.com/6438682/gr....html#comments and post a comment supporting Mercedes-Benz request for input on whether or not to build a CNG Mercedes. I would recommend requesting a bi-fuel version to eliminate infrastructure objections.

You do have to register to post your comment. I spoke directly with Consumer Relations at Mercedes-Benz today and they are using the comments to further their study. After 6 days there are only 22 comments and not all of them support CNG.

Please spread the word. We need to see thousands of comments, not dozens.

      Hey Jeff,

      They're up to 37!

Seriously, I sent a copy of your original post to Rich Kolodziej at NGVAmerica for inclusion in their newletter. Well see if it shows up.

We've got 5,000 plus CNG Chat members, everyone ought to vote!

      Best regards,

        Re: Mercedes Benz

My concern is, How is M-Benz going to make any money selling CNG vehicles? What's the point in charging $200+ to change the oil when you only have to change it once a year?

          Re: Mercedes Benz

          Bill,

Thanks for getting the word out. We have two choices at this point, we can bitch about the EPA and wonder why the OEMs are not producing CNG or we can scream out that there is a market for CNG vehicles. When given a forum, I say we take it. I sent the info through the Pickens group as well to get the 1.5 million members of the plan notified. If 1.6 million people are told to post and we have less than a couple of hundred I think I see where the problem lies. Too many talkers and not enough doers. I hope I am surprised.

          Jeff

hope MB is importing the B-CNG car, would like one.
If not, one could use the exception rule to import when returning from US-services from Germany and you happen to own one, as part of your moving property.

Just posted a comment. The registration process at that website is a real pain in the *&#! Took me 5 or 6 tries (haven't had any coffee yet).

                Re: Mercedes Benz

I like the idea of the CNG B-Class. From what I've read, it is basically a Canadian B200 model with CNG capability and no spare tire; made up for by using run flat tires.

I encourage Mercedes to bring them in; I'm interested if they price it in the $26 - 28,000 range.

Since I own another Benz, I will be calling thier Customer Center at 1-800 Mercedes to let them know.
