  • Technical Answer Needed

My relative in California is helping me convert my California car
    to CNG.

Does any one know generally, how much additonal spark timing advance is needed over gas engines?

    Thanks

i dont have any technical books for my honda accord. its just regular honda 4 cyl engine rhn2.2 16 valve. maybe there are some salvage yards in calif or somewhere that have the fuel system parts that i need., then i need a fueling compressor also. i wonder if i can convert my 84 nissan pickup 4 cyl also. got to bet off this gasoline stuff.

            Re: Technical Answer Needed

I'M not real sure if you have a real spark advance issue to worry about.I have converted my own 2000 buick lesabre 3.8L..All I needed was a tank, stainless steel lines and connectors,Impco pev-1 regulator, Impco 225 or 200 mixer. I dont know what system you are looking into but, mine is a very simple system that has been used for years and years. I have not messed with spark advance at all. Remember natural gas is approx 120 octane. If I have been any help, your welcome...BOB
