  • 100% Electric car built in Quebec Canada

Being from Canada, I couldn't resist posting information on the Zenn (Zero Emission No Noise) Car, that is built in Quebec Canada.

    Zenn's WEB site is http://www.zenncars.com/

The ZENN is 100% electric, and can be plugged in to an 110V pluggin, just like a coffee maker.

If anyone needs a good laugh, click on the "ZENN on Rick Mercer Report" icon.

Hey gang - watch out! "Competition"
is creeping in on our CNG world!
Looks like these Zenns are real.
    Just read a
local newspaper article with pictures of a family in Lake Oswego, Oregon, that bought one.
Not for freeway use, they get around 35 miles on a charge, and not much over 30MPH is what they report. But if all you do is city commute driving - what a deal. Sounds like there is some room to improve the battery capacity design- maybe in future models.

Very nice, but still not very practical for most people. With a top speed of 25mph, it wouldn't work on most streets and roads. I'd hate to invest alot of money into buying one only to be limited to very slow streets. You'd have to have another car that could go faster anyway, so why bother?

I wish Phoenix Motorcars would hurry up with their SUV and SUT models. Check it out at www.phoenixmotorcars.com.

I just looked at Phoenix's website. Good looking vehicles, but we will see when they are real. They appear to be based out of Ontario, California. Not far from a lot of us.
Unfortunately a SUV/SUT with a range of 100 miles a charge won't do us So Cal people much good. It makes the 200 mile range on my Vic look extravagant. Maybe we could use it when they get the extended range going.

i just went to the 'calculate your savings' page..........i put in a new civic gx price of 27000 (inc taxes) and compared it with the electric car. it would cost more than double to drive the phoenix.

Phoenix is marketing mostly for fleets. I know San Bernardino County has ordered i believe 10 of them. They will mostly be used for light duty (code enforcement, etc). 100 miles is plenty for most of their use, especially with the base charger giving like 90% in 10 minute i believe. Plenty of time to bump it up when they get back to the base for lunch.
