As far as your rattle... it's not normal. Take it to your dealer and have it checked out under warranty.

We also have a 2009 GX with about 1000 miles on it. Did you have any rattles in your GX doors? I can hear a rattle inside the passenger front door. Debating if that is normal for a Civic or a warranty issue.
