Generations of GX

That thread about '98 Civics started me thinking. How many 'generations' of GX are there. My guess is the major ones are:

98-00
01-05
06-current

Are there major differences within any of these groups?

You nailed the years correctly. Obviously the body styles of each generation are different.
98-00 - 1.6L, 4-Speed Automatic
01-05 - 1.7L, CVT (continuously variable transmission) 01s are notorious for bad CVTs, but they seemed to get better after that)
06-current - 1.8L, 5-Speed Automatic

Both my 01 and 02 have rebuilt CVTs. Do you think I'll get longer life out of them than the originals?
