Have all the initial production 09s now been produced and delivered to Dealers and is the production plant being moved to the Midwest going to start delivery again in June? I am hoping to sell my 09 during the dead spot between plant closing and restart of production. Curtis do you know what the inventory is like at most GX dealerships presently?

Re: Delivery of 09 GXs
ABout 1400 cars have been produced to date. Initial production ended in Dec.
The factory has been moved and Honda is (as far as I know) will have one more production run at the end of the model year. This last run would probably not produce more than 500 cars for the entire US.
As far as inventories... hard to say. Many dealers had all their cars pre sold, so they went out as fast as they came in. I'm down to a dozen cars from my original 35. I know there are some cars scattered around out there, but I don't know specifics on how many, or where. I do know that fleet orders were higher this year and this left a dent in the units available for retail consumption.

Re: Delivery of 09 GXs
Production at the East Liberty, Ohio plant has concluded for the 2009 Civic GX. Production of all four-door Civic models have moved to the new Indiana plant while the East Liberty plant will produce other, larger platform models like the Element.
Production for the balance of the 2009 Civic GX (natural gas powered) is scheduled to begin in June and continue through September. Production of the 2010 model GX is scheduled to begin in October (start date t.b.d.).
