  • fuel pressure regulater

My honda civic gx 2000 only starts if 1st injector is unplugged and if it is plugged back on the car stops running. If the 2nd injector is unplugged the car wont start.fuel pressure regulater reads 659kPa and will not go below
400kPa on adjustment.I have been advised to change the regulater but before I proceed I would like to have some more opinions. The car had been sitting for maybe over a year and has only 30000 miles.

Check closely that a high pressure regulator is what you need; the cost of the regulator alone is close to $1800.00

I agree with Cowboy. Ohm out your injectors to see if they are shorted. Approx 12 ohms is typical on gasoline injectors. I don't know what the resistance would be on a GX, but all 4 should be approximately equal.
