  • Car Sways on some highways with noise reduction grooves?

    Hi

Ever since I go the car I have had the car act like it was swaying around (like in wind) when driven on the Asphalt freeways that have the grooves cut into the pavement.

Is there something special about the tires on the GX and interaction with the grooved surfaces ?

Highway 85 From Stevens creek south to 17 (in the SF Bay Area) makes the car do this. It's like the tires are tracking into the grooves which arent perfectly aligned with the lane.

I have put on some fairly cheap tires that did the same thing (a tire and wheel package), until they wore down the tread pretty good. This time I put 80,000 mile Michelin's on and they don't seem to be causing the same issue.

Mine is bad too, have tires at max. I just think of it as a free ride at the carnival

The OEM tires are to blame. They really suck. They dont hold a line, track rain grooves, and are really loud.

I am just living with it until I wear them out, and put on some 16" wheels, and Michelins.
