I'm in the process of adding an additional tank set up to my '08 Civic GX. I plan to do the work myself, though this is the first time I've undertaken this type of project. If anyone here has added a second tank to a Civic GX, I'd like to know where in the "fuel joint block" you tied the new tank line into. It seems there are a few choices:line from fueling nozzle or line to high pressure filter before manual shut off valve, and they would both work? Thanks for the help....A small sketch of the tie in or a picture would be awsome.
I would have taken this to a shop but the ones that are available are quoting $1500 for labor only while others that are less either don't return phone calls or schedule out 2 months. I have bought the tools I need for the stainless steel tubing (swagelock bender, cutter and de-burrer) and understand the tank set up has to be mounted very solidly (withstand 5G's?).
In reference to another thread...I understand supply and demand and the above is not a complaint, but simply a statement of facts. Instead of complaining and crying "price gouging" , which I don't think it is, I will simply do the work myself. I have a choice, and this is my choice. I'm glad at least some businesses are doing well, they deserve it for being in the CNG business!
Thanks,
