  • Passanger Airbag light - any meaning

Maybe some of you know how to read this light, or maybe mine is not functioning.
I have a '07 GX and the Passenger Airbag light is always working the same way, whether someone is sitting in the passenger seat or not. The light turns off, after it does it's initial turn on when I start my car.
Anyone knows about this or has the same behaviour?

I have not paid attention, but I'm pretty sure that's Normal Operating Procedure (NOP)

I think the light comes on only when you have it (passenger airbag) turned off for a small child or carrier.

What does the Owner's Manual say?

The owners manual and quick-start guide that came with the car are useful tools. They explain that the light will come on when a child under 60 lbs sits in the seat, but will remain on at all other times.

        Thanks.
You are right! Using a 20lb bag on the seat turns the 'OFF' light back on. I suppose it is contantly checking the weight.
