I am fighting with my 1998 cav with a running issue but long term hope to keep it. The one big thing I want is more capacity. Has anyone daisy chained another cav tank into one of these things, or pulled the existing tank and added a bigger one? If I could double my range I would be a very happy camper!!

Re: Cavalier, more tanks?
Yes, an extra tank can be added in the trunk, which then effectively eliminates use of trunk for storage.
Friend has an 2003 Cavalier and had a 4 gge tank added so now has potential 10 gge overall, but realistic fastfill of around 8 gge here in OK using mostly ONG with pressures less than 3,600. Installation was done by professional in cng conversion business.
With a slow-fill your range would be better, but even on 8 gge fills, generally gets range slightly over 200 miles on cng.

Re: Cavalier, more tanks?
One thing to think about is that if you fill up your trunk with CNG tanks, it leaves little 'Wiggle' room if you get rear ended. The crumple zones designed in your trunk space help absorb the impact of a rear collision, but if you remove that open space, it leaves for a greater possibility of tank rupture during a rear end crash. Not likely, but could happen.

Re: Cavalier, more tanks?
Think it was around $450 to $600 a couple years ago for labor, on top of price of purchasing the 4 gge tank which was around $400 or $450 so about $1,000 total. Might be cheaper options, but this was 100% safe install by certified CNG technicians.
