  • Converting 1990-92 model vehicles whats the rules

First question: is there a rule about converting vehicles that are ten years or older that concerns wether or not EPA cert is required?
Second question: If converted vehicles are owned by state or fed does it make a differnce?

Have local Post office that has 90+ of these vehicles with 2.6 GM engines they want to convert any sugestions on how I can get this done?
    Thanks for the help

    ccgas,

My vote would be to go for it!

We've worked on that particular conversion (the LLV?) and it's a slam dunk. NG just makes a lot of sense in that application particularly.

Realize this system was an IMPCO mechanical air valve kit, but it absolutely can be done.

re. the 'older vehicle' issue, I don't think the EPA is going to be too concerned about 10+ yr vehicles, but...I'm not a lawyer (thank God).

    Good luck,
