  • Improving Performance.

I am totally new to CNG vehicles, and I just recently bought a 2002 Chevy Cavalier Bi-Fuel. I am interested in improving the performance a little, but am not sure if any special considerations need to be taken into account with this car being a bi-fuel. Thinkin of installing cold air intake... Good or Bad idea?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Re: Improving Performance.

Probably the best way to increase performance with a fumigated induction is to work on the exhaust. Many of the older systems by design restrict airflow to a degree. The most I would do would be a K&N airfilter, changing induction piping could lead you to have problems with operation. Kevin

      Re: Improving Performance.

I have a bi-fuel truck and it didn't have much umpf behind it either but i changed out the exhaust that was rotten from the headers all the way to the tip. i got it replaced by a local muffler shop with no Cat and new headers and glasspacks (same as CherryBomb just cheapper) and it does better not only on power but fuel economy jumped up almost 5% which is enough for me to feel happy.

P.S. might check the air filter see if you can replace it with a high flow like a K&N but i run WIX

How much did it run you for new exhaust?
        Thanks
