Just a note for those who dislike the smell and extra cranking needed to start the older model cavalier's on cng. After some testing, it seems to me the problem stems from the unused fuel left downstream of the low pressure lockoff valve and the time it takes to purge the air back out when starting. To fix this, we have added an impco solenoid ($48) with a new mounting plate just in front of the fuel mass flow sensor. So far it has worked great, car starts on the first crank with no loss of power.

Perhaps. I am not familiar with the F-150 set up. To see if it is a similiar problem, I would suggest putting a 0-15 "w.c. pressure gauge on the outlet side of the low pressure regulator. See if the pressure bleeds off after you have shut down the engine.
