Baker Partners with Baytech to Provide CNG, Propane, and Bi-Fuel Conversion Capacity
Baker’s four installation and service locations will upfit Baytech’s certified engine systems
RICHMOND, Virginia – November 19, 2008 – Baker Equipment announces a partnership with Baytech Corporation of Los Altos, California to expand their existing alternative fuel vehicle conversion capabilities. Baker's partnership with Baytech will include installation of Baytech’s EPA and CARB certified CNG fuel- injection systems by Baker on Chevrolet, GMC, Isuzu and Workhorse Custom Chassis vehicles. This partnership comes in addition to Baker’s partnership with BAF Technologies of Dallas, Texas, in which Baker upfits BAF’s CalComp™ CNG engine systems for Ford vehicles.
Baker and Baytech’s collaboration will expand alternative fuel vehicle conversion capability to the east coast via Baker’s four locations, including Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Richmond, Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia. Baytech will train Baker's technician’s onsite to install Baytech's EPA and CARB emissions certified multi-point fuel injection systems in accordance with Baytech's standards. All Baker locations will provide labor for warranty and service repairs, greatly increasing east coast availability of service work.
