  • LPR rebuild kit success?

I just picked up an '01 Cavalier that appears to having a leaking Low Pressure Regulator and have been reading up on repair kits available. But no follow up on how well they worked or how easy/difficult the repair was. Anyone ever rebuilt an LPR?

Otherwise I'll just buy a new one.

The rebuild is easy---just follow the instructions posted here on this forum and/or the instructions included in the kit. Be sure that you adjust (bend) the tab on the arm provided in the kit (per instructions)

Which supplier did you get the kit from and how much?

I just called a local forklift dealer and asked him to order the kit. It is manufactured by Impco (which makes a ton of propane forklift fuel systems). The part you are looking for is a regulator rebuild kit with a Impco part number of RK-PEV-2. It comes with instructions. Cost was around seventy bucks.
