  • 2011 Silverado with impco conversion cutting out.

My 2011 dual fuel 6.0 Silverado will run fine on cng for months then it will randomly start running rough & cutting out. Had it checked & impco code just shows multiple injector misfires. Changed 2 injectors but didn't help. Seems to not act up in hot weather but may just be coincidental. Seems like a fuel pressure problem to me, planning on putting a gauge in the fuel rail & see if pressure drops when it acts up again. Appreciate any thoughts.

I have since put a gauge on the rail, only 25 psi. I checked the filter, clean. I suspect the regulator may be bad.

That would be my assessment too. You should see 110 psi there.

I took it in to get checked & was told that system with that regulator operates at that pressure ???

Interesting. 2 bar is 30 psi, so that seems correct.

Yes, they suspect that I have an injector acting up when it's cold but are unable to tell which one. I don't want to spend the money replacing them all so I'll be trying to run injector cleaner thru the system.

Folks here have often praised Sea Foam for cleaning CNG injectors.
