  • Where to get Toggle Switch/Indicator Light for Chevy bi-fuel?

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement switch/indicator light for Chevy 3000 bi-fuel truck? (I think the switch is the same on all the Chevrolet bi-fuel cars). My Brother recently purchased a Bi-fuel truck, and the toggle switch is missing, just some wires sticking out. Makes it hard to know for sure if you are running on gasoline or natural gas. He also isn't able to check his gauge to see how much gasoline is in his tank without running out of CNG.

Anybody know what this part is called? The Part number? Price? Where to buy, etc? Or do any of you happen to have an extra one lying around?

    Thanks

It is just a momentary switch with a 12V lamp. I have attached a schematic representation of the switch, if the socket looks the same then you can use the schematic to just wire in a switch and 12V lamp.

    Keep us posted.

Thanks for the schematic Harpoon. I'll see what I can come up with.... but he says he has a total of six wires, not just three, so I might need to have a look at it and see what's up and get back to you all. I recently removed my dash in my cavalier when I replaced the stereo, and I'm pretty sure when I was putting it back that I noticed that there were only 3 or 4 wires attached to the toggle switch. I think he may have some extra wires from somewhere else thrown in the mix there.
