This will happen during normal operation. The 'check gages' light acts as a low fuel light when you're running out of cng. It'll turn off when the car is restarted on CNG or if you actually run out and it switches to the unmentionable overpriced stuff it'll shut off after 5-10 miles of driving. This is normal and is not anything to worry about.

The light will turn off when it switches unless you are like me and only carry ~2gals of the unmentionable.

        thelimeyone,

Is it the "Check Engine" light or the "Check Gauges" light? As mentioned, the "Check Gauges" light should come on when the fuel level is low and go off when you kick over to gasoline (as long as there is 1/4 tank or more of gasoline) or when you refill with CNG. If the "Check Engine" light comes on when the CNG level is low, then I would have it checked out.
