Suggestions to replace compuvalve

I recently bought a 2001 bi-fuel F-150 from Bay area. CNG wasn't working when I got home. Sno-Motion checked it out today where I worked with Jerry. He said I needed a new Compuvalve. He said there was power going to the module, (compuvalve) but none coming out. He only charged half the regular fee because he said when no power was coming out it sort of dead ended need for other testing.

He suggested Champion Ford in SLC and said it would be about $2200 out the door. I called them and that was right, and the same price at Westland Ford in Layton, who also have certified CNG folks.

Champion was recommended by someone on my other thread. However, are there any other suggestions where I might check? Apparently, the Compuvalve contains a module that apparently can only be programmed by Ford.

I don't begrudge this as I was somewhat figuring on the possibility of an unknown coming up that could possible cost this much. I also have the $3000 Utah tax credit to offset it. However, it is still a bit of money that I might like to be sure about first. For what it's worth, both Ford dealers said they also would run their diagnostics before replacing module.

How many miles on the truck ? The compuvalve should be covered for 8 years / 80,000 miles federal emision control warranty. After that , it is a customer pay repair.

It's over the limit. The truck has 146,000 miles. I considered that.
That's the first thing Sno-Motion asked.

Sno-Motion checked CNG out and said I needed new Compuvalve because I had power going into Compuvalve but not out.
Afterwards, I was thinking about two hour meters, one for CNG and one for gasoline, that were installed sometime in last few years. The gasoline meter had about 2100 hours, and the CNG zero. That lead me to believe the meter installation could be the problem. I checked and the meters are switched by a relay added to the firewall next to the Compuvalve. The relay used power from the fuel pump wires coming off the CNG power panel near the battery. I removed the relay and associated wiring. Because it was near the Compuvalve, I checked the wiring around it to check for plugs left undone, etc. I found two connectors that had been switched. The J30 plug was plugged into the P13 socket and the J13 plug was into the P30 socket. I switched them back, but CNG still doesn't work.
Does anybody know if switching these plugs could have caused CV (Compuvavle) failure, and if it is something that reprogramming CV might fix.
I just want to double check before before putting a couple thousand out for new CV.
