I just found an ad on eBay for a Crown Vic that was converted from 3000 PSI to 3600 PSI. Anyone know what that entails and how much $$? That would certainly help my range.
you'd have to change out your tanks (alot of money). and then you'd have to change out your High pressure regulator they say that costs up to 1000 or more and possibly your fill nozzle but that price i don't know about but overall even with used 3600 psi tanks i'd guess in the 3000-5000 range? anyone else want to help here
I just had my fuel fill neck converted and am using the same tanks. They are rated for much higher pressure/capacity than 3600 PSI. It only cost me about $300-400.
Oooohhh, I would check the rating on your tanks. You don't want to risk stressing a 3000 psi tank to 3600 on a regular basis, especially if you time-fill overnight with a Phill or FM-Q2-36
I like how Questar here in Utah sets their fast-fill pumps to 3300 psi as 3000 psi tanks have no problem fast-filling to 10% over spec, yet the many 3600 psi vehicles get a very nice fill this way too.
