  • Broken fuel switch

I have a 1999 f150 with GFI system [LPG]. The switch on the dash came apart and during my search for a new one I found a technocarb switch they are both have three wires . Colors on GFI are green, yellow and orange . Technocarb colors are black , yellow, and red . If I matched the colors correctly would this switch work ?

Any thought on matching the colors .

The good news is that the switches do not care about the color of wire.

What they do care about is what they are connected to. If the replacement switch looks and mechanically operates like the switch that failed, orientate it's installation exactly how the failed one came out. Next, bond the switch wires to the factory wires and you should be good to go.

Three wires are probably 12V, GND and Power to alt fuel system. Should be an easy swap with a multimeter and a little patience.
