2001 f150 bi-fuel alt fuel light flashing

has anyone seen or know what is causing the alt light to flash when first starting up? this seems to only occur on the first start of the day when the truck has set over night and the temp is cold. i can drive on reg.gas for a couple of miles till the engine warms up then turn the engine off and restart on cng and it will run fine. when the alt light is flashing the truck is running on reg gas not cng. i might add that it only does it occasionally but it seems to be happening more frequently any ideas guys?
