Extended warranty coverage for Compuvalves

I just got a letter from Ford saying that the Compuvalve and ECM are covered under the 8/80 Federal emissions warranty. If you paid to have one worked on within the time/miles, you can send them the bill and they will reimburse you. Program 08B05

I can confirm that. It says in the Ford AFV Manual that it's covered under the 8 year / 80,000 mile warranty. Previously, we owned a '99 Contour whose Compuvalve was replaced for free under the warranty in its seventh year.

Does anyone know if Compuvalves are still on backorder for 2 years? When I checked with GFI in August they said the first batch of Compuvalves should be headed to the US by OCtober, but Ford insisted they had no knowledge of Compuvalves being available before 2010. I'm still waiting to have mine repaired under warranty.
