    I have 2 of these trucks on my lot. If you want to see them to see what you are missing it is alright by me. Lot is in Salt Lake. Rick 759-2761

    my local certified cng tech says that the straight six ford engines do not use compuvalves . has anyone ever heard of this ? its a 96 f 250 with a 4.9liter straight six. there are no pipes tubing etc..coming from the injectors other than the gasoline lines. by the steering column i found some modular wiring plugs just hanging and a cng line capped.up by the brake booster there is a plugged off vac. line and some more wiring. over on the pasngr. side where the hoses for the heat and ac enter the firewall there are two hoses that have a metal on each one those hoses go back to the device under the truck that the cng is plumbed to.any help greatly appreciated.

    wonderful!if by the grace of god i were locate a compuvalve how would i identify it for compatability to my engine? is it possible to use the existing tanks ,lines to utilize a universal or techno carb system? what is imho ? i believe i have a system that has alot of the parts removed. over on the pasng. side on the firewall over by where the ac/heater lines enter the box on the firewall there are two hoses 3/8 est in size that have a metal tee on the ends. any help greatly appreciated .

    Did this truck have a GFI system already installed? If so, the location would be readily apparent by the presence disconnected hoses and wiring. The replacement MAY be ordered through your local Ford dealer, BUT, I have been experiencing up to a 6 month waiting period for replacement Compuvalves! You will need the VIN. Some bad news is that they will charge you a "core charge", even though the Compuvalve is SUPPOSED to be a new one.

    More bad news, of the last 4 I replaced, 2 of them arrived DOA and replacing them under any "warranty" was a total joke. Some of them are approaching $3,000, each. Ford charged our department the full cost of the new replacement, and told us to file with GFI for the refund. 2 years later, we have not received it. The position with ordering a Compuvalve is not optimistic.

    IMHO, it is less expensive and the end result would be a better running and longer lasting system to install another fuel injection system.

    Petitioning Ford will not help, they are basically the middleman in the problem.

    Frustrated as well;

    Franz
