  • Ford F-250 with "Bad Tank Valves"

I am considering to buy a ford f250 CNG. The ad says it has bad tank valves.

    Is this an expensive repair?

    Thanks.

I would do away with the Ford tank valves and install tank valves from http://www.swagelok.com I can get the part number in a couple of days from my local rep.

The tanks utilized by Ford have a 2" threaded opening for the valve. It is unlikely you will find a replacement other than from Ford.

Although sometimes very expensive, Swagelok will generally make any part you need if you know the standard by which the connector was made.

Any ballpark guess of the price for Ford vs. aftermarket valves?

$350-$500 per valve. If all the valves are bad the truck would not start. Are you sure it's the tank valves and not the compuvalve?
