I just got my contour back from a compuvalve flush and cleaning. It runs on cng, sometimes! It dies when stopped at a stop light for more than a minute. It also dies while cruising down the road. I haven't been able to go longer than twenty minutes without it dying. Once when it was dying the speedometer needle bounced back and forth. The gas light also comes on. When I flip it to alt after it isn't working and I have restarted on gas the light flashes three times fast. There is frequenty a ssparking like noise to be heard when running on gas. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Re: need a contour diagnosis
The only thing I can think of is: FUBAR.
Was this happening before the flush? If so, did it get worse after? If this just started happening after you had it flushed then take it back to the shop and demand them either replace it or pay to have it fixed. You can do anything except light a paper match, on a marshmellow, underwater!

Re: need a contour diagnosis
Where are you at in Utah? Did you take it to a dealer to get it flushed? If not, I had a guy in SLC work on my truck. His name is David and you can contact him by email at [email protected]. He is a professional Ford mechanic and does the CNG work at his job.

Re: need a contour diagnosis
Ok so I have a contour also. Compuvalve problems, the light is solid on but the fuel gage will not change to CNG. The car does not seen to run on cng either. I have the diagnostic book if you want to get toghether after the 4th. I'm in Pleasant Grove.
