Here are the parts that were returned to me after Ford serviced the coalescing filter on my 1997 Crown Victoria. I can't say that all these parts are included with the filter, but they replaced the filter, the o-ring for the bowl, a plastic sleeve, and the drain plug with o-ring. The part numbers on the carton are: FG-976 on one line, then F5TZ-9365-AA.

Again, these parts are from a '97 Crown Vic. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps?

I've been trying to find a factory manual for a 2000 Ford F-150 dedicated CNG with no luck. If anyone knows where to get one....it would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the parts that were returned to me after Ford serviced the coalescing filter on my 1997 Crown Victoria. I can't say that all these parts are included with the filter, but they replaced the filter, the o-ring for the bowl, a plastic sleeve, and the drain plug with o-ring. The part numbers on the carton are: FG-976 on one line, then F5TZ-9365-AA.

The filter housing or COALESCER is made by Racor / Parker in modesso, CA. Most common unit is part# FFC-112. Racor also makes other variations starting with FFC. (see attachment)

Racor sell a Grade 10 filter/element for much less than the dealer. part# CLS112-10 It would NOT come with the new canister O-ring, or new plug with o-ring like it does from a Ford dealer's part. But I did find this Racor part number from their web site "CLS47133-01 - REPL. KIT, ELEMENT & O-RINGS". Don't know which O-rings or element it is, but do a little research I'm sure you will find out. My guess is its the entire kit like fords but is for the FFC113. My Ford filter was a Grade 6. I believe grade 6 is available from Racor part# CLS112-06 and cost about $4 more.

Grade 10 - 95% filtering for 0.3-0.6 microns (list $34.25)
Grade 6 - 99.97% filtering for 0.3-0.6 microns (list $38.20)

For what its worth: In the attachment Racor suggests draining every 1500 miles, and changing every 3000 miles. However in my 03 Ford maintenance book it says change filter every 25,000 miles.

Racor's web site is www.parker.com. They will not sell direct, you need to buy from a distributor. Call them at 209-521-7860 and ask who sells in your area. They told me Vanbarco in Ogden or Murray, Utah. This is incorrect. They are in Colorado and do not stock this part at this time. I would do a web search. I found good prices (25% off) at www.nationalfleetparts.com

BTW-the above mentioned "plastic sleeve" is only a cover to protect the threads of the plug until you install it.

Cost is much, much less than dealer replacement, and it's the same item!

Sorry, no direct bolt in replacement for the GFI bi-fuel stuff.

For the Crown Vic, this model will have to be a special order. Contact them for repair or replacement info.

Adrian, keep checking EBay regularly. I'd also try calling Helms, as opposed to trying to locate them on their website. I can never find anything that way. You may have a little better luck with a call. Let us know how it goes.

Oring face seal fittings

I'm looking for some fuel lines with the o-ring face seal fittings that Ford used on the contours and crown vics. Anyone have one or two they would sell?

I have a 2003 Crown Vic CNG Police car and recently developed check engine code misfire on #2. I checked with my local Ford dealer on the price of the coil packs and found out the coil pack for the CNG engine is about $120 each, more than twice of the price of the coil pack for a gasoline engine ($50 each).
Does anyone know the difference between the two? Is there any reason for a different coil?
I put a coil pack for gasoline engine in the CNG engine and it runs fine. Is it safe and OK to use it?
