  • using regular gas

I bought a ford f150 truck and I love it. It says that I need to run a tank of regular gas every 60 days. Do I have to do that all at once ? or can I use regular gas 1/4 of a tank at a time through the 60 days?

    Welcome, cng mailman!
I will move this over to the Ford forum for the experts to chime in there.

Hi CNG Mailman, The idea behind using gasoline every so often, is to keep the fuel injectors from sticking and to use up the gasoline, so that it doesn't go bad. The shelf life on gasoline is about 3-4 months, Kevin

There is also the issue of keeping the gaskets in the carb from drying out and causing a fuel leak. Gasoline tends to be much more flamable than the cng and a engine fire from a gas leak can ruin your whole day.
