We need to export natural gas for the sake of our economy. See usdebtclock.org . We are broke. We can have natural gas at half the price of gasoline while still exporting. We need a lot of investment to make the switch to a natural gas economy. The infrastructure will take too long if the price of natural gas does not allow a fair profit. We need to balance our import/export deficit, and to improve our economy while increasing jobs. The natural gas boom is worldwide. Almost everyone has it. We have the technology, but it can go anywhere. Foreign countries will outbid us and our companies will focus on helping them, and making a profit. I have no stocks, by the way.
Northern Australia has lots of natural gas, and is building the worlds largest "ship" to extract it offshore ; especially to Japan. We will have plenty of competition, and I don't think that natural gas will ever be expensive again in our lifetime. China says they have twice the natural gas deposits that we do. Russia has an abundance that they are selling to China and Europe. Poland and Great Britain have large finds. Of course the Middle East has plenty. There is a huge find in the Caribbean also. That is just the ones I am aware of. Worldwide natural gas demand will not be high enough, in my estimate, to escalate prices over the long term. Natural gas will moderate gasoline and diesel prices also. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2011/0...74J4EM20110520
