Anyone know who will work on fm4 ? I thought someone in Tennessee was working on fm4 and was told he was doing a good job at it ? Was told he was an older man doing it on the side? Anyone know??? Thank you
I need the head / pump rebuild first ! I was told it's hard to find the best person to do that and the guy in Tennessee ( I think that where he is ) is good and HONEST! I have had bad luck with this in the past and do want to get back up and running. I also may need wor on a fm4 but one thing at a time
There was a fm4 head for sale on ebay for 1250 or best offer.
I had energy tree cng rebuild my fm4 and i was disappointed their rebuild did not address the fact that it would only pump up to 2400psi. They told me my fourth stage was worn and the parts were only available custom made and they would let me know when they had some available. So my compressor is allegedly rebuilt but it doesn't pump any higher pressure than it did pre rebuild. They also told me that my second hose connection was bad so they removed it and put a block off plate where it had been. It had never leaked or caused me any trouble so the removal was a disappointment???
They have never contacted me further about the custom replacement 4th stage parts.
If I were in your shoes I would just buy one from Amfuel or another dealer brand new with an unlimited timer chip or get the one on ebay if it is still there.
The reason I didn't go brand new was my local rep wouldn't sell me just the head, I had to hire them to install it.
You could also just buy a reset timer chip and run yours into the ground and then buy a new one from Amfuel. Or buy a new one from Amfuel with an unlimited timer chip. Put in on a shelf and plug the unlimited timer chip into with the old head and then run it to failure at which time you could install the new head still using the same unlimited timer chip. As I write this I suspect they want the old head back as a core???
What issue are you having?
