started a topic Hello from CA

    Hello from CA

    Hi all CNG enthusiasts !!!
I am planning to go into a CNG filling station business. I'd love to build one in my area near San Francisco, CA but it seems CNG use in the US is still very limited as compared to some other countries so I may consider have a station with dual gasoline/CNG use. Any advise on the cost of purchasing and installing CNG equipment on an existing gas station will be well appreciated. If there's a link with a list of suppliers & prices, that will be great too

    Thanks,
    Josh

CNG station used by Greenville Transit is for sale in South Carolina. Gas has been disconnected from station. Seller figures scrap metal value only. But it does have two short tube tanks and is a vintage Trillium compressor. Presently in the $500 range. Auction ends 11 July 2019 before midnight PDT:

Auction closes in 6 hours - 8 Feb 2019 4:34pm Pacific time on a relic ANGI compressor on double-axle trailer with sequential fill/priority panel controls. Basically it is being -given away- to anyone that wants to pick it up at 1661 Senter Rd San Jose, CA (no wheels on trailer plus registration problems-suggest flatbed haul off):

I imagine these are being sold after they provide their years of service. Other than tanks, what other portions can one expect to have to change / service on a fill station? Compressor? How difficult / feasible / expensive does the undertaking become?
FMQ 8 units pop up both at auctions and from private sellers at low cost these days Modular 4 oil free compressors. will even work if 3 of the 4 compressors are inoperative

    Hello,
Do any of the govdeal auctions have items required to put together a smallish station for a business? I'm thinking more along the lines of the home filling stations vs gas station.
    Thank you.

CNG time-fill station at 1220 Monterey St Hollister CA is up for auction ending May 21 2018 on eBay. Technician that has done work for me says Greenfield is not a preferred model of compressor (could be design or parts availability/cost) but this may not be a concern since the unit has been in operation until it was prepared for sale. Contact phone number is provided in auction listing. 75HP 110 SCFM; 15psi inlet 4500psi outlet; three 10ft ASME(?) tubes; Xebec dryer; four time-fill posts

    Reserve price is $25K:
