  • Intro To Natural Gas - Video by AGA/SoCal Gas

This is a good introduction to those who are interested in natural gas and have no background with these cars. We welcome you to the forum and hope we can provide the information to make the [informed] decision to own and operate a natural gas vehicle (NGV).

Mayis, My home fueling is 85 cents/gge with home fueling including the electricity to run the pump. 2018 average was 68 cents/gge. Winter in the north country causes some higher rates as home heating demand is up.

If you drive an economy car or have limited driving habits you can get a Fuel Maker Phill that provides about 1/2 gge/hour. For more aggressive driving and larger vehicles a Fuel Maker FMQ series is more appropriate at double the output of the Phill. Pricing? With accessories and installation a new Phill will be $5k - $6k. The FMQ series for home fueling with accessories and installation will be about double the price of the Phill. Larger systemsare for commercial locations only.

I generally use 1,000 to 1,500 gge/year with home fueling and write off business mileage. 10 years and going strong.inmy F150 bi-fuel.
