Set aside, for the moment, that Gov Jerry Brown called CA state residents objecting to the state gas tax hike - freeloaders:

That press releases do not say the tax increase applies to CNG should be an additional selling point, as is the carpool lane access for CNG in the state:

Simple check of unleaded prices paid across the country now show California prices are the highest - even more than Hawaii:

Electric charging, as California has projected, will rely on this absurd wind farm coupled with compressed air storage in vast caverns in Utah. Conclusion at bottom of article, It should be noted that electricity in California is already twice as expensive as in Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma, where coal or natural gas are the primary methods for generating electricity.

funny how public CNG fueling goes up in proportion to gasoline...

Thankfully home fueling is not effected, mainly because the CPUC has to approve utility rate hikes for residential customers, those rate hikes will not be approved unless the utility can prove that their costs have gone up. With horizontal fracking and the shale extraction that is not going to happen anytime soon

For the foreseeable future ill continue paying about 70 cents a gallon here in So-Cal thanks to home fueling.

I have read around the internet that CNG is better for fuel economy, but it reduces engine life.
