  • SoCal Caravan to the Cruise-In

Those of you coming to the cruise-in from points south will be coming up the 5 fwy North to the 14fwy. San Fernando station is $1.99 and close to the 5 fwy.

Offer a suggestion for a gathering point, day and time where others on your route might join up with you on your trek north.

That's the way I'm coming from OC if my GX is back by then. The shop says it should be done on Thursday. I'd suggest the station but would there be enough room? What else is close by?

FYI, the damage was not that bad although most of the time was taken up by the other persons insurance getting their act together At least I got the heat shield and some other maintenance items taken care of at the same time

I'm in Oceanside so I don't know the area. I will be coming up on Saturday. Give me a time and place and I'll be there.

        Curtis,

What time do the gates open on Sunday for those only coming up for the day? Back off the drive time from San Fernando station to the event and we can then schedule a time for everyone to meet and still have time to refuel.

If there is not enough room for all of us at the San Fernando station one of the group can stay there and direct others to the Caravan staging area.

On Sunday you'll probably be about 50 minutes from San Fernando. I just came from Van Nuys the other day and it was an hour from Van Nuys Blvd to Lancaster.

Re: SoCal Caravan to the Cruise-In

If anyone is interested in a caravan from the IE up the 15 on Saturday, they can meet up with me between 1:30 and 2:00 at the restaraunt on the right at the 138 exit from the 15.
Post back if you are IN!

Re: SoCal Caravan to the Cruise-In

It's about an hour and 20 minutes according to Google Maps for me to get to get to the San Fernando station so I'm planing to get there about 8:30 which should give me time to fill up. Anyone else going plan to be there about the same time.

Oh yes, I got my GX back today, yahoo.

                      Need a PG&E card

Sorry for the double-post (also in the cruise-in main thread), but if any of you folks have a PG&E card I would really appreciate borrowing it for a few days as I have to head up to SFO after the weekend festivities Please send me a PM if you can assist, thanks!
