  • New CNG Station in Duncan, OK

Preferred CNG is building a new station at Gatlin Road and Highway 81 North of Duncan. Looks like it is in the initial phases putting plumbing and electrical underground before they pour concrete. This will be the first station in this area. I'll post more info when I get it. Can't wait for it to open since it is just a block from my work.

They set the compressor and dispenser last week. So hoping it will be open soon. Maybe PS CNG can let us know when it will be open. It's sponsored by O-Tex Pumping Services LLC which has been advertising they are converting their fleet of oil field service equipment to run on CNG. A great idea. I hope that other service companies will follow. A friend of mine said that Halliburton Services is experimenting with LNG powered pumps for frac equipment. I like the idea of using NG to generate more NG.

Update from PSCNG. We are currently waiting for Electric and gas on location. If all goes as planned it should be up around the first of the month. "Fingers Crossed"

Please gather all the detail information from PSCNG for address, phone number, payment methods, 3000 psi/3600psi, etc. so that update for www.cngprices.com can be made.

Good to see another public cng site in Oklahoma under a dollar for CNG . . . hooray!!

Re: New CNG Station in Duncan, OK

Just filled up there. Great job and good looking station. Looks like one of the new Peak CNG in box units. I noticed O-Tex filling one of their big pump trucks there today. Should save them a ton of fuel costs. A friend of mine working at Halliburton said they are taking delivery of a number of new bi-fuel field trucks at the Duncan facility. I wonder if they are putting in a station too?

The receipt has the operator as:

Pump has a message saying watch for new stations soon. O-Tex has facilities at several locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. Hopefully they will be putting in new stations at those locations too. There is a map on their website at http://www.otexpumping.com

I have submitted the station twice to cngprices.com and its never been added. Anyone at the wheel over there?

It took over a week to get him to list the 2nd Lincoln, NE, station. He said all his kids were sick with the flu, which makes the wait understandable.

Well so much for keeping prices low to encourage CNG use in the area. O-Tex raised the price at their new station in Duncan 50 cents to $1.50. Still cheap, but goes against their initial idea of promoting CNG by making the cost very attractive.
