  • The largest BAUER CNG compressor in North America is now online.

Revolution CNG recently commissioned a new BAUER C26.13 X-FILL CNG compressor at the County of Kings public works yard in Hanford, CA. This 175 hp, liquid cooled machine is the largest Bauer machine in North America and is the first X-Fill machine commissioned on the continent. It has been online for a couple of weeks now, and we are amazed at how quiet and smooth this machine is. This 175 hp monster is actually quieter than most 20 hp machines thanks to liquid cooling and a very well thought out cooling and ventilation system. Unfortunately this site is not open to the public yet, but hopefully soon it will be.

What are the specs. on this machine? Traditionally Bauer is a low inlet machine so it has a low output per HP.

The C26 comes in several inlet pressures
      C26.2 - 15 psi 125 hp
      C26.10 - 65 psi 150 hp
      C26.12 - 145 psi 150 hp
      C26.13 - 245 psi 150 hp
      C26.14 - 550 psi 125 hp

This is not the X Box C26.
(hard drive died and lost the X box info -I just found this out. Thanks for getting me to look it up)

Bauer is known for producing some really good machines for low inlet situations, but they also make great machines for higher inlet pressures. This one in Hanford is a C26.13, operating on 225 psi inlet and producing 360cfm. I believe this series of machine is going to be a game changer in the industry for this size range. Super quiet and smooth, extremely low oil carry-over and a warranty that is literally five times better than anything else in the industry - a five year warranty. We are super excited about these machines!

The basic unit starts at about $240k. There are a few options that can add to that.

Thanks for the update on this new, larger Bauer compressor package. It seems to provide similar 370 - 430 SCFM performance to the Ariel JGQ/2 as packaged by ANGI and JW Power, right? Is it a similar footprint? Is additional space required for the liquid cooling apparatus?

sounds like this could become a standard with a 5 year warranty for that price

The skid is about 19' x 6'. cooling system is actually more compact with the liquid cooling because the fans and coolers are much smaller. We believe this series of machines represents a giant step forward and are very excited to be involved in the introduction to the North American market.

The big 175 hp Bauer X-fill machine in Hanford has been online for about six months now. So far, "Brunhilda" is a rock star. Ariel customers will find it hard to believe but to date we have not added a DROP of oil, and the total amount of condensates drained off is less than half a cup - most of that being H2O. We had a couple of very minor calibration issues at start-up but after that, she's just been a kitten. Very pleased with the new Liquid cooled, 165 GGE per hour 26.13 X-Fill!
