Hey gang, CNGchat needs your help!

For over a decade we have enjoyed providing this little corner of the Internet for folks to discuss all things natural gas vehicles. It is the largest forum of its kind: with some 70,000 posts on over 11,000 topics. But with continued low gasoline & diesel prices and strong automaker support for electric vehicles, consumer interest in CNG has dropped considerably, and with it has visitor traffic here. As a result, Google ad revenues no longer cover hosting fees.

If you find CNGchat to be a useful resource then please consider making a modest donation to support keeping this remarkable pool of knowledge available to the alternative fuels community. Thanks!

  • many questions for a impco bifuel set up

HI I recently bought a new to me 2013 silverado with a cng kit in it. It was originally a state vehicle so I'm reasonably certain it was done properly. when running on Gasoline i get no check engine codes when I switch to cng i get several codes that look related to the fuel computer. Problem is I can't seem to locate said computer. Any ideas? Is not near the other 2 computers for the truck nor is it under the spare tire where the original fuel pump control module is? would it be inside the bolted together box where the tank is? any help would be appreciated!

Is it right next to the extra battery tray on drivers side, closest to the fender

Maybe you assume there is a separate computer for the CNG fuel system? Based on your symptoms, I would say not.
