  • Low pressure fuel filter

I replaced my Low pressure fuel filter twice on my 2001 honda civic gx and a couple weeks later it explodes off. Any one know why this might be happening?

    Hello Jenn09,

    WOW, that sounds scary!

The key to CNG diagnostics is: pressure, pressure, pressure.

Have a qualified tech check the low pressure outlet at the regulator.

My GUESS is that's where the problem is.

    Stay safe,

Got your PM. Is the gasket blowing out , or is the housing bulged and blown off.

If it is the gasket, check the torque used to tighten.

If it is the housing, as above noted, probably a flaky pressure regulator. Very expensive ,well over $1,000

moisture in the fuel. and then freezing temperatures will expand the filter housing as has happened twice on my 2001. Would not be the problem in Long Beach CA, though.
