IMPCO Offering Ship-Through Process for Isuzu Trucks
IMPCO Technologies has announced that Isuzu commercial vehicle dealers can now select IMPCO as a ship-through option to more quickly convert gasoline-powered NPR-HD (14,500-lb. GVWR) trucks to CNG. As part of the ship-through process, Isuzu trucks (which are built at its Charlotte, Michigan plant) will be transported to IMPCO’s OEM Automotive conversion facility in Union City, Indiana for CNG system installation. Upon completion, vehicles will be returned to Isuzu for North American distribution. The Isuzu NPR HD chassis is used in a variety of applications, from box trucks to landscaper bodies. Re: Isuzu-IMPCO Arrangement Facilitates CNG Option for HD Trucks in USA

Isuzu has many dedicated-CNG engine options for its trucks in overseas markets such as Thailand. It wouldn't be so difficult to bring some CNG-powered rigs back there...

Dec 21, 2016 - AGA Systems has received EPA certification of its EcoSync HD Bi-Fuel CNG alternative-fuel system for the 2017 General Motors Vortec 6.0L engine that is used in the Isuzu NPR and Chevrolet Low Cab Forward trucks.

Advanced EcoSync technology utilizes the factory electronic control module with advanced safety and diagnostics capabilities and eliminates the need for a last-generation slave-ECU for CNG operation, according to the vehicle modifier.
