Agility will formally open the new plant in Salisbury NC on October 21 to introduce itself to the local community and to show natural gas vehicle industry friends its new capabilities. Agility detailed plans for the 204,000-square-foot production facility this past spring, noting that the strategic location north of Charlotte is in close proximity to heavy duty truck and bus OEM assembly plants.
Salisbury is about 14 miles from the Freightliner factory in Cleveland, N.C. Daimler-Freightliner publicized a seven-year exclusive supply arrangement with Agility in June.
