Hey gang, CNGchat needs your help!

For over a decade we have enjoyed providing this little corner of the Internet for folks to discuss all things natural gas vehicles. It is the largest forum of its kind: with some 70,000 posts on over 11,000 topics. But with continued low gasoline & diesel prices and strong automaker support for electric vehicles, consumer interest in CNG has dropped considerably, and with it has visitor traffic here. As a result, Google ad revenues no longer cover hosting fees.

If you find CNGchat to be a useful resource then please consider making a modest donation to support keeping this remarkable pool of knowledge available to the alternative fuels community. Thanks!

  • ALLDATA info for the Cavalier.

Madspeed, one of our long time members, has finally been able to hunt down some of the vital ALLDATA info for the Cavalier. After learned learned the secret handshake, obtained the official decoder ring and being told the magic password, he was able to obtain this closely guarded info. And now it is now available to us meer mortals. Good Job Madspeed!

He assures me that there will be more info to follow, so keep an eye on this thread as I will add it here rather than start a new thread for each submission. It is in pdf format. Perhaps we can obtain info for other models as we go, now that we have an inside source.

If this doesn't cover info you need, just post what you're looking for.

Re: ALLDATA info for the Cavalier.

Hi Curtis or anyone...I've been trying to diagnose my Cavalier acting like it's running out of fuel each morning. I go around 1/4 mile then starts dieing. I can start on cng once or twice more but only go short distance before having to pull the fuse and run on regular...sorry the real question is using the alldata diagnostics info I've measured the ohm's for the HPL and LPL and checked power to each which check out ok. Q) on the pressure test part numbers "J 39970" and "J 28552" is there any other generic brands of tester besides the Kent Moore kits. Any Fuel Rail Tester out there that can handle 0-250PSI. Q) the LPR Test port looks to be standard AC, not sure about the female plugs in the LPR Thx Steve
